Anti crush solution for Counter Strike 1.6 servers

I`m sure it happened to you many times. Suddenly the server is blocking and in the top right corner of your screen a message displayes :

WARNING : Connection Problems

You are asking yourserf : what was that? it`s got to be the internet connection !...No, it has nothing to do with the internet connection. You`ve just been the victim of a little "attack". There is a program that can crush your server from the distance. The program is available on the internet, anyone can download it and when someone gets angry with you on your server (he gets kicked or banned or something like this) he just exit your server and crushes it. This program is called CSDos. But as every issue has a solution the anti CSDos was developed. It is a program called AntiCSDos and makes the CSDos inefficient if it is used proprely.

Download here AntiCSDos.rar, unzipp it anywhere on disk and install it like any other program by double clicking the executable, etc...Usage:
1. Start your CS 1.6 dedicated server.
2. Start the AntiCSDos by double clicking the executable.
3. This is the most important step : press Patch HLDS ! Without this step yor server is not protected.

After you patched HLDS you can turn off the AntiCSDos. The protection is still active if you patchedv HLDS !
The dynamic ip users will have to patche HLDS on every ip change. Otherwise your server won`t be protected. Start the AntiCSDos and patche HLDS once a day and your server will not be blocked.

How To Add Bots to HLDS Server

In order to add bots to your Counter Strike 1.6 dedicated server you will have to do this :

1. Download here the podbot arhive and unzippe it.
2. Copy the podbot folder into HLDS\cstrike\addons - HLDS is the main directory of your server .
3. Open HLDS\cstrike\addons\metamod\plugins.ini and add this line under those who already are there :
win 32 addons\podbot\podbot_mm.dll

If you want to change bots number open HLDS\cstrike\addons\podbot\podbot.cfg and edit the lines:
pb_minbots 3
pb_maxbots 12

One of the Podbot problems is the lack of bot waypoints for new, custom maps. So, we provide you a little help on that. Is an colection of more then 2000 map waypoints for CS 1.6 Podbot. Download Counter Strike 1.6 Podbot waypoints here. Double click the exe and chose the server`s main directory as installation folder.

Optional, you can download and install Amx Podbotmenu if your server is running Amx Mod X. This plugin will add a menu for bots and some commands. Commands for this plugin:

amx_pbmenu - invokes the main menu for podbot mm - do anything to your bots from it (most important command)
amx_pbaddbot - just add a randome bot to your server
amx_pbcmmenu - choose model of the bot your adding
amx_pbcpmenu - choose personality of the bot your adding
amx_pbcsmenu - choose skill of the bot your adding
amx_pbctmenu - choose team of the bot your adding
amx_pbkbmenu - menu to kick the bots
amx_pbwmmenu - weapon mode menu for all bots

This is the easiest way to make addons for your Counter Strike 1.6 server because it`s an automatic method of installation using the Counter Strike 1.6 Simple Addon Creator.

Download here the installer then unzipp it anywhere on disk. Double click the yellow icon (the exe file) and choose the installation folder wich will be HLDS (the main directory of your server). A blue window will be displayed presenting the options. There you choose wathever you want : AMX ModX, AdminMod, AMX ModX+AdminMod+Statsme, etc. So you check one of the options typing the coresponding case (the case should be minor) and then hit ENTER.

How to make a CS 1.6 spray logo

In order to install a spray logo to your CS client you will have to do this :

First you will have to download here HL Tag Converter. Unzzip it anywhere on disK. Double click the executable HlTagConverter and a window will be displayed . Then do the following steps :
1. Click on Open Image; there you chose the picture from your disk.
2. Click on Adjust Image. An window will display. First click Auto Size, and then click Apply changes and convert to 256 colors.
3. Click the Save Tag button. A little window will display and you chose "Export to WAD file" and click OK.
Now you have to save the file twice : first save it as tempdecal and then save it as pldecal.Copy the two files, tempdecal.wad and pldecal.wad , tocstrike folder of your Counter Strike 1.6 client (not the server`s cstrike), and delete the logos folder from there.

sXe Injected Anticheat Full Version

Protecting the server from cheaters using sXe Injected  Anticheat

You have tried many anticheats in order to protect your Counter Strike 1.6 dedicated server, but none of them worked properly. You`ve tried HackHunter and HL Guard, but they wasn`t exactly what you have expected. There`s one more anticheat to try…sXe Injected. This is the only one that stopes cheats like OGC. The protection works like this: you`ll have to install sXe Injected server`s protection as a metamod plugin and your clients have to download sXe Injected client, run it and then connect to your server. Any client that doesn`t run this mini program gets kicked out of your server after a few seconds fron connection.

Server`s protection steps

1.Download here the sXe Injected server`s protection plugin and unzip it.

2.Download here the sXe Injected client, unzip it and install it on your computer by  double clicking the executable.

3.Download here the sXe Injected autodownloader plugin and install it as an Amx Mod X plugin (your server must run Amx Mod X).

Installing sXe Injected protection on your CS 1.6 dedicated server

1.After you have downloaded and unzipped the first archive, copy the sxei folder to HLDS\cstrike\addons folder (HLDS is the main directory of your server).

2.Open HLDS\cstrike\addons\metamod\plugins.ini and add a line like this :
win32 addons\sxei\dlls\sxei_mm.dll

3.Open cstrike\server.cfg and add a line like this :

ip 85.133… (your ip – if you don`t know it download the ip shower softweare here)
or
ip server.zapto.org (in case you have an DNS updated address)

4.Edit in server.cfg the following line:
__sxei_required 1 (two underscores in front of sxei_required)
This is a plugin cvar. It has the following values:
1 – plugin on  and after 6 seconds, clients that don`t run sXe injected client will be kicked.
0 – plugin on but the clients will not be kicked . The plugin shows an warning and their name will be changed in [NO-sXe-I] Name ( adds a tag in front of it).
-1 – plugin off.

Installing the autodownloader plugin

As I said it before, this is an Amx Mod X plugin and it requires Amx Mod X 1.76 or higher installed. You`ll install the plugin as an ordinary Amx Mod X plugin:
1. Copy the auto_sxe_dld.amxx file to HLDS\cstrike\addons\amxmodx\plugins folder.
2. Open amxmodx\configs\plugins.ini and add a line there :
auto_sxe_dld.amxx
under all the lines that already are there.
3. Copy the auto_sxe_dld.sma to amxmodx\scripting (optional).

The client command is : say/sxe

Config files

The config file is a file with .cfg extension which contains some parameters/settings that will be used during the game. It may contains some commands from the for example, which are associated with some keys from the keyboard for easy of use during the game.
The game is loading initially all those parameters from the config.cfg file which is loaded when the game starts. This config.cfg file may be loaded at any time from the console and it can be personalized. The command which loads a config file is /exec name.cfg [where "name" can have any value. If you encounter problems to config file execution, be sure that the path where it is placed is HLDS/cstrike/name.cfg.

Download the config file copy it into cstrike folder and when you connect to the server console type exec.name.cfg . To return to your default configuration just type exec.config.cfg
